KindredStitch was born out of a quiet moment, a thread, and a longing for connection. As a lifelong maker and licensed mental health therapist, I’ve always found comfort and clarity in my craft. Knitting and crochet filled my hands and heart for years—but it was rediscovering cross stitch, decades after my mother first introduced it to me, that shifted something deeply.
I realized I didn’t just love the process—I loved what it created: space. Space to breathe, to slow down, to focus. And I began to crave a space like that online—somewhere cozy, creative, and kind. A gathering place where stitchers of all kinds could share, inspire, learn, and feel understood.
So I built it.
KindredStitch is a love letter to slow crafting and thoughtful community. It’s a warm corner of the internet where we celebrate artistry, heritage, and the joy of making beautiful things with our hands. Whether you’re just threading your first needle or have a shelf of finished masterpieces, you’re welcome here—because every stitch tells a story, and we’re stitching this one together.
